The ultimate guide to buying of the kid's bikes

Whether you are looking for a girl's bike or a boy's bike as a Christmas gift this season, and especially if you are a first timer when it comes to buying of the right sized and the perfect bike for your child, you will require a guideline for the same.

Radio Flyer Tricycle
You would not want to get disappointed after buying a wrong bike for your kid. Take a look at some tips that you must consider while you are buying some of the best radio flyer bikes or scooters for your kids:

• Buy the bike only from an experienced retailer or manufacturer. This is because they will have a perfect idea about what size of bike is the right one for your child as they have experience of so many different ages of children buying bikes and scooters. This also means that the bike is assembled and developed by an expert and hence there will be no chances of any defaults or failures. It will be a completely independent bike and you will have no worries about assembling it and maintaining it as well.

• The top bar of the bike should have a minimum of one to three inches of clearance from your kid's body.

• Before buying the bike, let your child sit on the seat and try riding the bike for some time to experience if it is the right size for him. The feet should be comfortably touching the ground such that the child is comfortable while driving.

• While grabbing the handlebars, make sure that the elbows of your child are slightly bent. They should not be completely stretched. This is because if they are not slightly bent, it will not give a proper range of the movement while steering of the bike.

• Brakes are most important! Yes do not ignore them. Ensure that your kid is able to make use of it very conveniently. He should be able to reach to the brake levers very easily and pull them with the sufficient force whenever there is a need to stop the bike.

• Along with a new bike or a radio flyer scooter or radio flyer tricycle, do buy a new helmet for your kid as well. Don't use a helmet that is either too large or too small for your child. You will have to get a new one form time to time.
